I wish I was alive in the 1920s.

gene kelly ♥

how can anyone not love his ridiculously-coolness?
theres no men like him anymore - straight and an amazing dancer.
he is one buff ting.

i made this on a liking page for facebook.
you know you want to.

i think singin in the rain may actually be my favourite musical of all time.
forget you sound of music.

26.12.10

shit, katherine jenkins has a beautiful voice

i'll tell you something, katherine jenkins + murray gold are geniuses, geni if you will.

but stephen moffat is as well for giving us such a wonderful episode, that really got me in the christmas-y mood.

as you may have noticed, i am a dedicated fan of doctor who so when, during children in need, karen gillan and matt smith revealed the trailer for the christmas special, if anything, i came out more confused than before!

Next i heard 'flying sharks' and  thought'really?even for doctor who that's a bit ridiculous' . but oh, how wrong i was. and don't, in any case, just watch the first 10 minutes, because it was a bit dodgy, and the writer blatantly thought he was writing the script for sherlock with his in-depth study of the room around him.

this is completely forgotten, however, when matt smith stumbles in (quite literally) and you are placed back into the fast paced (and slightly bonkors) world of doctor who.

it could of done with a bit more of amy and rory, but meh, what can you do.
altogether fantastic (as the 9th doctor would say) and really got me in the christmas mood. which is very good.

i'm going to be oh-so annoying and put up another thing about benedict cumberbatch.
just because i can.
and i am so sorry, but i use this blog for me as well as my viewers, so that as soon as i go online i can look at that video i love, or listen to that interview again.
so i am so sorry.

but i have to say that if anything, this has made me love him more.
the poem he mentions (ode to a nightingale) is very meaningful, and the sort of poem i consider art.
i also love banoffee pie, as does he.
i now want to read 'the catcher in the rye' if it has changed the life of such an extraordinary actor.
my favourite musical is singin' in the rain too, although not my favourite actual film.
< he would like this guy to play him in a film about his life. he seems to be a freak, as is i.

when he said about how everything is magical at dusk and dawn, it made me think that maybe the reason he played van gogh so well is because he is also a wonderful artist, just in the art of acting rather than painting.

if you actually listened to the interview, they ask him apollo or dionysus. i looked this up, and apollo is the god of sun, music and poetry, whereas dionysus is the god of wine, ecstasy, and intoxication. its basically asking are you good or evil. he chose evil.

as for his fancy dress. ' a sort of snoop-doggy-styple-50s-pimp'?

this is the said article the interview was for. he looks a lot better with blondey-brown hair, i've got to say. maybe this is a sign that i should go back to my routes (literally, i'm starting to get routes from this hair dye i used :/)

light brown hair? really? ♥

don't you just love NARNIA? ♥

CUMBERSOME: 1.)difficult to handle or use especially because of size or weight; "a cumbersome piece of machinery"; "cumbrous protective clothing"
2.)awkward: not elegant or graceful in expression; "an awkward prose style"; "a clumsy apology"; "his cumbersome writing style"; "if the rumor is true, can anything be more inept than to repeat it now?

haha.
cumbersome sounds like Cumberbatch.

unicorn having a whole lorra fun.

this is a cold war, do you know what your fighting for? ♥

this is janelle monae.
'nuff said.

still waiting for the snow to fall, doesn't really feel like christmas at all

ok, for the first time in a long while, i am going to have to admit that i was wrong.

for a few weeks ago, i complained how nobody writes any good christmas songs any more, and i was wrong.
and now i'm going to review this years:

christmas was better in the 80s - the futureheads
try and listen out for this song on the radio. because the video is a little bit dull. mainly because this song is a bit of a rant, but its still as good as classics like heartbeat song. good song for revision maybe?

christmas lights by coldplay
this is coldplay, so it was always going to be quite excellent, but i never expected it to be this good. the sound has traces of previous hits, but this song produces a more all round polished sound. the video is different and not a video where you open a new tab halfway through. maybe a rival of x factor for christmas no.1 position?

shake up christmas by train
yes, it is the same train from hey soul sister. and it is on the 2010 christmas coca-cola advert. but theres not that much else to say about it, because it is quite frankly a bit dull. but i guess if you want to see what its like you should listen to it for yourself.

oh santa! by mariah carey
i have to be honest, i was quite doubtful when i heard that mariah carey had a new christmas song out,  and it was only when my own dad was clicking along and tapping his foot that i realised that it's quite a good, catchy, fun song. whether or not we'll be saying the same thing in 10 years if it becomes as much of a hit as all i want for christmas, we'll have to see!
