they were addicted to perfection, which began with their buildings and clothes, but then they became really obsessed with it, and wanted the perfect human race (a.k.a. the Hitler ideal)
Onto other vintage things, I finally found my mum's The Smiths tape, then the first time I put it into the tape player it got un-ravelled, then when I re- winded it, it was playing, but backwards.
I may have to just succumb to peer pressure and buy the CD.
