a bit of a long post...

it turns out that while i've been not posting, there has been one hell of a lot of things to post about, so i'm going to have to try and sum it all up in one post. sounds easy!

micro pigs
my friend lucy has been going on about these for ages, then i saw them on the inside cover of the METRO this week, so i had to do a post about them...

doctor who xmas special name revealed
apparantly, the christmas special for doctor who is going to be called 'A Christmas Carol' and it is meant to be 'very christmassy', as was further proved when the One Show showed 10 seconds of a picture of Matt Smith with the TARDIS, which was covered in snow. Also, I saw a sampler of shows that are on this Autumn/Winter, and they showed Matt Smith turning around on a swivel chair and saying 'I'm the Ghost of Christmas Past' so it is most possibly entwined with Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Also heard some ridiculous rumours about flying sharks on an alien planet, but I don't think thats true...

gingerbread latte
talking of christmas, starbucks have released a special gingerbread latte just for christmas that looks so yummy, i think i'll be first in the queue next time i go to starbucks...

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
it's been advertised everywhere its meant to be the best film so far, and I am seeing it on the day its out. Smug much? Of course. But I've got to finish the book of the Deathly Hallows so I can do a comparison article for the school newspaper. Simples. As for advertising, for the last two weekends every magazine that comes with the Times has had something to do with Harry Potter. Including a free sticker book which is quite cool.
the premier also looked quite cool (it was live on youtube), but WHY THE HELL WERE THE LOSERS OFF XFACTOR THERE?

sorry about that. i just have very strong opinions about THE STUPID MINDWASHING CRAP THAT IS X FACTOR.

ahem.

Sherlock Holmes and Eating, Praying and Loving

Today I went to my library and the only Arthur Conan Doyle book was Hound of the Baskervilles. What an abomination!

Ok, so maybe that was the book that I wanted, but still, they should have more than one book by him!

Here is a quote from the opening scene of
'Hound of the Baskervilles' in cartoon form.

On other subjects tomorrow I am seeing the film, "Eat. Pray. Love" with my friend.

A review shall follow tomorrow or slightly later - all I can be sure of is that a review shall appear on these pages sometime soon, along with the 'Hound of the Baskervilles' if I ever get past the first chapter!

I love the whole idea of finding the best things in the world that comes across in Eat. Pray. Love.

But will it be as good as it seems?
Only time will tell.
