shit, katherine jenkins has a beautiful voice

i'll tell you something, katherine jenkins + murray gold are geniuses, geni if you will.

but stephen moffat is as well for giving us such a wonderful episode, that really got me in the christmas-y mood.

as you may have noticed, i am a dedicated fan of doctor who so when, during children in need, karen gillan and matt smith revealed the trailer for the christmas special, if anything, i came out more confused than before!

Next i heard 'flying sharks' and  thought'really?even for doctor who that's a bit ridiculous' . but oh, how wrong i was. and don't, in any case, just watch the first 10 minutes, because it was a bit dodgy, and the writer blatantly thought he was writing the script for sherlock with his in-depth study of the room around him.

this is completely forgotten, however, when matt smith stumbles in (quite literally) and you are placed back into the fast paced (and slightly bonkors) world of doctor who.

it could of done with a bit more of amy and rory, but meh, what can you do.
altogether fantastic (as the 9th doctor would say) and really got me in the christmas mood. which is very good.

this is an adorable picture of Smithy himself from the radio times' contents (right)
here's the interview he did (above)

its beginning to look a lot like christmas

how adorable does matt smith look in his christmas hat?
very, is the answer.

i got this, and the rest (below) from the doctor who advent calender from the website.
its one thing that christmas is coming, but so is doctor who!

this last picture i cut out from the metro, and when showed to my dad had no clue of what it was.
he is an actual abomination.
also, there are rumours of flying sharks, which was further suggested:
a) when matt smith told everyone 'its like dickens' a christmas carol with jaws' and
b) by this picture (below) that shows a fin of a shark. hmmm.
we'll have to wait and see how that turns out

that picture makes me feel like dumbledore is alive again! (which he isn't. sorry celia.)

a bit of a long post...

it turns out that while i've been not posting, there has been one hell of a lot of things to post about, so i'm going to have to try and sum it all up in one post. sounds easy!

micro pigs
my friend lucy has been going on about these for ages, then i saw them on the inside cover of the METRO this week, so i had to do a post about them...

doctor who xmas special name revealed
apparantly, the christmas special for doctor who is going to be called 'A Christmas Carol' and it is meant to be 'very christmassy', as was further proved when the One Show showed 10 seconds of a picture of Matt Smith with the TARDIS, which was covered in snow. Also, I saw a sampler of shows that are on this Autumn/Winter, and they showed Matt Smith turning around on a swivel chair and saying 'I'm the Ghost of Christmas Past' so it is most possibly entwined with Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Also heard some ridiculous rumours about flying sharks on an alien planet, but I don't think thats true...

gingerbread latte
talking of christmas, starbucks have released a special gingerbread latte just for christmas that looks so yummy, i think i'll be first in the queue next time i go to starbucks...

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
it's been advertised everywhere its meant to be the best film so far, and I am seeing it on the day its out. Smug much? Of course. But I've got to finish the book of the Deathly Hallows so I can do a comparison article for the school newspaper. Simples. As for advertising, for the last two weekends every magazine that comes with the Times has had something to do with Harry Potter. Including a free sticker book which is quite cool.
the premier also looked quite cool (it was live on youtube), but WHY THE HELL WERE THE LOSERS OFF XFACTOR THERE?

sorry about that. i just have very strong opinions about THE STUPID MINDWASHING CRAP THAT IS X FACTOR.

ahem.

Oh gosh you amazing man!

Is he not one of the coolest men alive?
no? Well, I bet you haven't seen Doctor Who then.
But alas, he is definitely dating Daisy Lowe.
Well, if this picture is anything to go by...

Doctor Who Proms 2010

I was just seeing an advert for the BBC Proms on TV earlier.

After my initial thought of, "Wow they've been going on for AGES!" I then wondered when Doctor Who Proms were going to be on TV.

After some research, I discovered that its:

BBC3
6th September
8:30pm

and another point I am definitely going next year

NOBODY CAN STOP ME.

One of my favourite pieces that I've seen is this piece called Liz, Lizards, Vampires and Vincent
Thanks to dwhofan9 on Youtube for uploading it!

Matt Smith vs. Benedict Cumberbatch

A certain friend of mine did a post about whether Sherlock or Doctor Who was better, but I think the real question is Cumberbatch (Sherlock) or Smith (the Doctor)?

Sorry Celia, had to put that one of Matt Smith up to make you jealous :)

As unbiased as I am, I think at the moment Cumberbatch is slightly winning, but that may be because he has such a completely awesome surname (come on, Cumberbatch against Smith - there's no contest) - but it changes all the time, so it could be a while before I make my mind up.

On other subjects, I 'enherited' the most awesome dungarees! Ok, do they're a bit big (they're M/L), but once I'm doe growing, I reckon they could 'be quite nice...quite nice indeed'.

They're a bit like this, but of course they're a bit more vintage-y.

Karen and Matt dance + yumminess

Karen Gillan dances
Sorry, I found this thing of Karen Gillan and Matt Smith (who play Amy Pond and the Doctor in Doctor Who) dancing, and I had to upload it because its just so damn awful! They have officially joined the spazzy-ness club that I am in.

In other news, I have re-discovered what my favourite meal of all time is:
Linda McCartney's Country Pies!
I was about to say 'Meaty goodness' but even though they are so delicious THEY ARE NOT MEAT.
If you have not tried these then where have you been?
Just pop it in the oven, cook some veggies and some mash et voila!
